About the Role This exciting opportunity within the venue sales team will be responsible for proactively and effectively selling venue space and services to both new and existing exhibition organising clients.
Key Responsibilities Proactively identify and create sales opportunities beyond the current events in the industry.
Contribute to the expansion and development of a portfolio of market-leading events.
Work closely with the General Manager to align account management strategies with overall business objectives.
Build and nurture strong relationships with clients to identify growth opportunities and ensure client satisfaction.
Provide comprehensive account management across the company's portfolio, maintaining a high level of engagement with clients.
Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions that add measurable value.
Stay informed about trends and shifts in the events sector to position the portfolio at the forefront of the industry.
Key Skills and Experience A minimum of two years relevant experience and proven success selling venue space (or similar) within the industry in a suitably senior capacity.
A high level of knowledge of the Portuguese events market gained in a similar role (preferable, but not essential) Existing relevant client relationships that can be transferred (preferable, but not essential) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills.
High quality organizational skills and a disciplined work ethic.
Able to identify issues and present creative solutions.
Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and implement contracts with senior/ board level clients.
Able to seek new opportunities and business leads creatively and proactively.
Demonstrated ability to consistently follow a structured process to convert interest and enquires into sales.
Experienced and proactive leader, championing initiatives.
Competitive, driven, and self-motivated, with an ability to adapt to the requirements of overall business objectives.
Flexible to accommodate varying demands of fast paced environment.
