We are looking for a Senior Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist to support our compliance initiatives and partner with internal teams to execute our security objectives. The role will be heavily focused on evaluating technology controls, supporting audits for the security compliance certification programs, and acting as a compliance domain expert on multiple first-party and public cloud-hosted business units. What You'll Do Plan, coordinate and implement work assignments with process/control owners and external auditors Educate and train process/control owners to better understand the security controls framework and their responsibilities Build strong relationships with business partners and facilitate continuous improvement aligned with operational processes. Facilitate initiatives to achieve and maintain industry compliance certifications, including external audits Assist with and drive remediation of process and control deficiencies and gaps identified internally and externally Review and respond to security assessment questionnaires from OutSystems customers Monitor, collect, and report on compliance with security policies and established controls Provide thoughtful attention to right-sizing processes to achieve maximum efficiency Qualifications Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of relevant IT compliance and/or audit role 3+ years of experience implementing, managing, and driving effective compliance programs Proven experience with compliance certifications such as SOC 2 and ISO 27k Excellent communication skills and empathy towards customers and colleagues alike Strong knowledge of compliance and security at core cloud providers Comfortable working with remote and distributed teams and systems Familiar with the challenges of fast-paced startups with security needs You are a self-starter and thrive with autonomy and independence Experience with PCI and HIPAA are a plus Creativity to increase compliance requirements while minimally impacting productivity Preferred Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP Certified Information Systems Auditor - CISA ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor The Longer Story One of the fastest-growing B2B software companies in the world, OutSystems is on a mission to enable every organization to innovate through software.
