Research Technician Or Master Student In Vision To Action Laboratory

.Research Technician or Master Student in Vision to Action Laboratory The selected candidate will Perform behavioural and functional imaging experiments with zebrafish larvae and fruit flies in a project that aims to elucidate how these animals escape predation. Required Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Biological sciences or related fields. Research Field Neurosciences Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience or other related scientific areas. Essential skills Basic experience in working in a research laboratory; Beginner level at Programming in Matlab; Excellent level of English. Desirable skills that will also be considered Experience in working with fruit flies or zebrafish; FELASA animal course; Experience in doing behavioural or neural imaging experiments; Classes in Neuroscience. - Competitive remuneration package commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience; - Full immersion into a research excellence ecosystem with highly motivated researchers, supported by state-of-the-art technology and continuous development opportunities. Maximum allowable duration of the contract including the respective renewals OR Initial duration 12 months with the possibility of 6 months renewal. Eligibility criteria National, Foreign or Stateless candidate(s) who hold a Bachelor's or Master degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience or other related scientific areas and a scientific and professional curriculum that reveals a profile appropriate to the activity to be developed. Selection process Candidates will be screened to determine eligibility based on minimum qualifications listed in call. Candidates meeting minimum requirements will be scored according to the required application materials: CV 70% weighting, motivation letter 20%, interview 10% (in case of a tie). Application materials CV and letter of motivation indicating 2 references (one single pdf document); Proof of qualifications(certificates) may be required at a later date for the formalisation of the contract agreement. Degrees obtained abroad may need to be formally recognised in Portugal.
