The company offers market tracking information and insights, forecasting, and data management software for retail executives.
The Client serves manufacturing, retail, health care, and pharmaceutical industries worldwide.PROJECTThe project aims to establish a replication of their existing data platform environment, specifically for disaster recovery purposes.
The replicated environment will remain in standby mode and must be ready to activate within a maximum of 48 hours in the event of a disaster.
The overarching goal is to ensure minimal to no interruption in service.Job DescriptionDocument application dependencies, configurations, and related IP setups by identifying, analyzing, and interviewing application owners, ensuring comprehensive and accurate technical documentationDetect and document all components on which these applications dependInterview application owners to identify all necessary dependenciesReview configuration files of applications if neededActively lead discussions and ask necessary questions to gather complete informationFill out the template provided to document all identified dependenciesEnsure accuracy and completeness of the documentationMaintain high standards of quality and accuracy in the documentationQualificationsExperience in technical writingPrevious experience in technical roles (DevOps, administrator, or developer)Experience in creating detailed technical documentation and diagrams (logical, deployment, network, architecture, component, UML)Ability to conduct interviews and gather information from various project participantsSkill in a detailed analysis of configuration files and other technical documentsExcellent communication skills and the ability to lead effective discussionsAttention to detail and the ability to document complex dependencies and configurationsTeamwork skills and willingness to propose improvements to streamline processesDeep understanding of application logical structures and deployment diagramsKnowledge of how web applications workAbility to create technical documentation for a technical audienceExperience in creating documentation for disaster recovery scenariosEmphasis on documenting hardware, servers, storage, and connections, avoiding unnecessary details (such as application testing or design specifics)Ability to document an average application within 3 daysAdditional InformationPERSONAL PROFILEStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and qualityVery good communicator, able to ask clear open/closed questions
