Context For the last few years, Richemont has been conducting a fast pace cloud transformation to accommodate our steady business's growth. Today we are moving forward to the next level of cloud
architecture, by leveraging multi cloud providers and providing a large variety of native services to our different Maisons.
As Cloud Solutions Engineer with monitoring expertise, you will be part of the DevOps monitoring and operate team within the Cloud and DevOps Services department. You will report to the Monitor and Operate team lead, dealing with a wide audience of engineers and technical experts internally, you will also be in touch with our business partners and our Maisons. This position is to strengthen Monitoring Solutions team as more and more workloads are brought to the cloud, therefore managing a large set of monitoring tools. You will contribute identifying monitoring requirements, set best practices, develop infrastructure and tools that enable the usage of our standard of monitoring. And enable initiatives by providing advisory to project teams.
Responsibilities for monitoring engineer Deliver the monitoring platform as a service (set-up, troubleshoot, maintain) to the various other infrastructure and application teams across the enterprise
Establish clear, well-defined monitoring standards across all service delivery teams in the enterprise
Establish guidelines around system alerting and alert routing to ensure efficient and timely response to infrastructure\system issues which impact production environments
Implement automation for monitoring implementation and an audit process to ensure that systems are being monitored as prescribed
Enforce best practices around data collection and storage of collected metrics to ensure that we have the appropriate data required for real-time problem detection, rapid problem resolution, and effective post-mortem analysis
Maximize our knowledge as industry leading experts on monitoring systems so that we can understand and implement advanced monitoring scenarios, address monitoring gaps, and to ensure that our corporate resources are monitored as effectively as possible
Create a culture and process of continuous refinement in the monitoring space by establishing an iterative cycle of feedback, implementation, and improvement between the monitoring teams and various service delivery teams
Qualifications for monitoring engineer Excellent communication skills and autonomy into following task and assist projects
Fluent in English mandatory, other language a plus
Implementing and supporting enterprise monitoring tools for Cloud Provider, networks, server and storage infrastructures application monitoring and performance of Richemont
3 to 5 years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Engineer with strong expertise on monitoring services in an international environment• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code automation using Terraform, Gitlab,etc; with configuration management using either Ansible or an equivalent.Intermediate understanding of the IT & Network infrastructure
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, bash, or PowerShell for automation and orchestration tasks
Strong experience in a Saas Infrastructure Monitoring application, APM/RUM tools DataDog, Site 24x7 or similar
Experience with Alerting tool. Pagerduty or similar
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Alicloud, Azure is a plus) and their monitoring capabilities
Familiarity with containerized technologies like Anthos, EKS, ACK
Good understanding of Agile/DevOps operating model with experience and passion to work in a fast-paced Agile environment, delivering features in small time duration and utilizing automation whenever possible
Good analytical thinking and skills to report efficiently to a wide audience
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong documentation skills to create clear and concise technical documentation
In a young and dynamic team environment with a big focus on personal development (trainings, conferences, certifications, etc.), you will take part of improve our application and infrastructure monitoring within the Richemont Group. You will work with a multicultural stakeholder (Maisons and markets) and for a great company in the luxury industry. You will actively participate in Conferences and Summits concerning cloud providers' technologies and provide guidance and feedback regarding technologies available in the market.
