Our client is a company operating in the energy sector, with an international presence. They are looking for a Head of Reporting Finance who will be part of their Consolidation & Reporting global team, based in Lisbon.
Reporting directly to the Consolidation Director and to the CFO of one of the companies of the Group, this individual will supervise finance managers across regions, managing external accounting providers, and ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting.
Responsabilidades ChaveEnsure and coordinate the timely preparation of accurate consolidated financial statements in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) and aligned with the group's operations;Manage financial reporting timelines to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements;Collaborate with the Consolidation Director to enhance reporting processes, including integrating renewable energy-specific metrics;Lead and mentor finance managers across several countries to ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives;Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within finance teams;Oversee performance evaluations and provide development opportunities for regional finance teams;Oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of the finance function, focusing on renewable energy project dynamics;Implement robust internal controls to ensure compliance with international financial standards;Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancements within finance operations;Manage relationships with external accounting service providers to ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements;Monitor and evaluate the performance of external providers, making recommendations for improvements where necessary;Manage contracts with external service providers, including negotiation and renewal processes;Build and maintain strong professional relationships with external providers to foster collaboration and address any issues promptly;Ensure adherence to international and local regulatory standards, tax laws, and renewable energy-specific financial regulations;Stay informed about changes in renewable energy financing, tax incentives, and sustainability reporting requirements.CompetênciasBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is preferred;Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, including roles in financial reporting and control within a multinational context;Experience in the renewable energy sector or infrastructure-related finance (plus);Proven track record of managing multi-country finance teams and working with external accounting providers;Strong understanding of international accounting standards;Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple providers and tasks simultaneously;Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills;Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders;High attention to detail and ability to manage complex reporting requirements;Willingness to travel as required.Principais BenefíciosCompetitive salary;Hybrid working (2 days in home office);25 days' annual leave.
