- A degree, preferably in Naval Architecture or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of three years programme).Maximum experience of 5 years, as Marine Surveyor, with valid codes for Ships in Service and Equipment and Components.Membership of an appropriate professional institution.To use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology.To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to processes, systems and services.Proficiency in the Portuguese and English languages commensurate with marine work.Valid Portuguese driving license.The roleConduct relevant activities, undertake project management, and provide advice for service delivery within own area of expertise, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and contractual requirements.Produce deliverables in accordance with agreed schedules, budgets, and quality levels, utilizing appropriate formats. Take responsibility for reviewing and monitoring the work of other employees as requested.Discuss and present deliverables to internal and external clients, offering suggestions and solutions as necessary.Perform activities in alignment with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.Pursue Continuous Professional Development to maintain a high level of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.Assess or recommend the time and value of work for external clients, assisting in identifying the most suitable fee and cost structure.Mentor and coach other employees as appropriate, promoting effective knowledge transfer and application.Contribute to external client management, continually improving service delivery through proactive monitoring and acting on client feedback appropriately.Ensure that the necessary authorizations are obtained and kept up to date, which may involve Activity Monitoring.Undertake routine administration tasks as required, following current processes and procedures.Collaborate closely with the site Project Manager, delivering project requirements promptly. Maintaining the confidentiality of all project specifications and deliverables is essential; no sharing outside the organization is permitted
