JOB DESCRIPTION As one of the world's leading logistics companies, we have opened a new IT Hub in Porto, Portugal.Our goal is to accelerate digital technologies for our global customers, focusing on the development of new mission-critical products, e-solutions and new digital services in accordance with the strategy of Kuehne+Nagel.Join our fascinating and international working environment and be part of the team responsible for the further development of our digital logistics processes.Your Role As the IT Team Lead for our Global Server Operations Team, you will collaborate with experts to develop innovative solutions for the logistics industry, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency.You will drive continuous improvement processes that enhance service quality and security, including designing, maintaining, and supporting our global infrastructure operating systems.Your Responsibilities Central responsibility for Server Operating Systems in KN's Multi-cloud environment (currently Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Amazon Linux and Microsoft Windows Server)Design, architecture and operations of the global infrastructure for operating systems, including: Red Hat Satellites, Red Hat Identity Manager (aka.Red Hat IPA),Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)Design, maintain and provision Golden Images for Operating Systems using automatic build pipelines on a monthly base(Later phase) Support/create custom images for other KN infrastructure and application teamsProvide consulting services for other KN IT teamsProvide 24x7 on-call support for all Operating Systems (major incidents)Perform root cause analysis of OS related incidentsCollaborate with other teams of the Infrastructure department, the new Cloud Service Hub and the Global Service DeskGet in touch with vendors and incorporate ideas into the product lifecycleSupport KN's ISO/KRITIS certifications by documenting and presenting operational procedures#LI-DM1 Your Skills and Experiences Experience and knowledge in designing and operating server Operating Systems in an enterprise environmentExperience in managing OS/patch lifecycles with Red Hat satellites and WSUSDeep skills in OS security and hardening procedures (.implementation of CIS benchmarks)Familiar with Python and Powershell scripting, system configuration with Ansible, packaging of applications and OS image creation with Hashicorp PackerKnowledge about integration of operational procedures into Gitlab, JIRA, etc.ITIL knowledgeEnthusiasm for collaborative work in international teams.Strong communication skills in English, both written and oralPrevious responsibilities in support organizations are highly valuedAbility to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment Good Reasons to Join Your work has a direct impact on the future of logistics and IT.Your team is made up of experts who are shaping the IT industry in Portugal and around the world.We want you to feel comfortable in our working environment, where you will be dealing with different cultures.That is why we offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely.We value teamwork, continuous learning and diversity.Kuehne + Nagel offers you a tailor-made career with individual planning and team leaders who will support you in every way.On a personal level, we support you with a wide range of work-life balance options, supplementary health insurance and our EAP - Employee Assistant Program.
