**What does an Accounting Manager do?**

As the Finance Manager for the Country, you are an integral member of the Iberia & Greece Cluster Team. The role is accountable for managing the financials in the Cluster. The incumbent delivers strong Business Partner support to the Finance Leadership Team in shaping the direction of the business and delivery of the financial performance of the Cluster.In this role, it is important to develop financial and investment strategies for the Country, aligned to category and regional participation guidance. It is important to ensure we have full compliance from a management and statutory accounting point of view, reflected in accurate financial planning and reporting by also leveraging the expertise of the Global Shared Service Center and Global Tax.This role is a critical enabler to drive scale and best practices across all the countries reporting into the Cluster. This role is varied and while based in the Country location office, a large percentage of your time will be interacting with the local teams and Regional and Global Finance functions across the matrix. As a result, you can expect to be traveling to stay connected to all stakeholders.**Responsibilities**:

**Drive results and excellence in execution**
- Ensure financial plans and investments are behind category strategic guidance and regional participation priorities and deliver on financial objectives.
- Create contingency plans (‘what if’’ and scenario analyses’) in order to ensure risk mitigation and the continued financial heath of the Country.
- Provide direction and guidance for long term financial indicators. Influence the focus of the Leadership Team for productivity.
- Through country teams - provide financial support (e.g. marketing decision support, sales decision support, credit control) to Country and local management in order to maximise the value of our sales and efficiency in our cost structure and balance sheet.
- Manage and influence improvements in Working Capital with focus in Accounts Receivable and DSO
- Create value culture, through driving pricing, mix and productivity.
- Ensure adequacy of controls, strong stewardship tone from the top and compliance. Ensure audits (internally and externally) are fully supported and action plans are being addressed.
- Liase with global tax and treasury and shared service centers. Interface with the Cluster Finance Director and Europe Controller. Identify improvements in processes, guidelines, principles and policies, in order to ensure adequacy and compliance on audit related processes.
- Be the main point of contact for internal and external audits and lead the coordination and review of post audits action plans
- Drive implementation of best practices across the countries within the Cluster.
- Be an escalation point for dispute management with customers.
- Prepare and submit management reports, and provide flash reports/management dashboard, ensuring integrity in interpretation and commentary provided.
- Assist in developing business cases for new brands/product and new suppliers and work with stakeholders to achieve approval across the matrix. Provide appropriate post activity audit on key projects.
- Keep abreast of accounting standard changes. Review and monitor operations in order to ensure compliance and track issues
- Supervise legal activities, SOX Controls and Compliance
- Meet with statutory authorities as required to answer queries, manage correspondence, validate and sign documents.
- Ensure SLA's (Service Level Agreements) with the Shared Service Center are met and challenged when necessary

**Financial**
- Responsible of the accuracy and completeness of the Statutory P&L Own the Structure Cost line accuracy and forecast. Propose and deploy, productivity projects
- Own the Balance Sheet accuracy, completeness as well as performance indicators
- Be an advocate of return on investment and gross margin optimization by leading ad hoc projects

**Develop talent and capability**
- Develop peers, providing guidance and continuous support in order to ensure high performance behaviour and results
- Help building a professional and objective team with sufficient knowledge, skills and experience
- Ensure that your peers have the resources and assets needed to deliver desired results.
- Build and foster a solid business partnership with the Finance Director and Business Unit leaders and relevant internal and external customers in order to understand business requirements and maximise effective decision support
