The Digital Global Unit (DGU) is an area of EDP SA and its mission is to challenge the organization to think differently and go beyond, in a context of increasingly frequent and faster technological, economic and social changes, creating and disseminating a digital friendly culture, favorable to the development and experimentation of new solutions that create value for the various stakeholders of the EDP Group. To support us in this role, we intend to recruit for the Strategy & Architecture Department.

Work Location:
Lisbon or Oporto.

Main responsibilities:

- Define, manage and disseminate the IoT Reference Architecture, associated vision and strategy;
- Enablement of the Architecture and underlying technologies with participating and relevant stakeholders;
- Support the identification of opportunities and added value of the Reference Architecture within the various Business Units;
- Provide and manage the centralized registration mechanism of the IoT Use-Cases of the various Group Companies;
- Support the instantiation of each BU's IoT platform in respect of the Reference Architecture with the various participating teams;
- Define and manage the journey/process of implementing IoT solutions (IoT platform) in each Business Unit;
- Monitor and report on the evolution of this Journey throughout the Group;
- Collaborate with other groups/competencies where there is a relationship or value of IoT, directly or indirectly ensuring proper integration and architectural solution, such as OT Systems, virtual communities, adoption groups of new network technologies (e.g. 5G), security, operation or cybersecurity;
- Monitor and evaluate market evolutions, identifying improvements or opportunities for analysis in the Group.

Looking for people with the following requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Informatics or similar;
- Minimum of 2 year of professional experience as IoT Architect / IoT Developer;
- Required knowledge in:

- MS Azure IoT suite, specially IoT Hub and IoT Edge;
- IoT communication protocols;
- Docker containers;
- Unix environments;
- Implementation/management of IoT Solutions;
- Programming with C#, Python, Bash or other equivalent;
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
- Recommended knowledge in:

- Distributed and microservices architectures;
- Security management and IoT security protocols;
- Scalable data storage technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, Big Data);
- API Management Platform;
- Experience of design, implementation, and deployment of high volume, highly available, cloud-based systems;
- Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty.
- Good communication skills, supporting presentations to different stakeholders at different levels: management, technical teams, external partners.
