**About the role**:
The Manager F&C position at smart Portugal combines an operational responsibility for the daily business as a direct sales company with a guiding and coordinating role regarding the corporate processes and governance. The Manager F&C supports the marketing, sales and after sales managers with monitoring the invoicing and collection, acts as a business partner to the Country CEO, manages the budgets and procurement, ensures compliance with corporate processes and co-ordinates the common functions scope with smart Europe HQ, reflected in a direct reporting line to smart Europe’s CFO.

**Responsibilities**:

- You author all local GAAP / IFRS financial statements in coordination with central Finance counterparts as part of financial audit process and fiscal compliance
- Thanks to your planning capabilities, smart Portugal will sustainably benefit from a water-proof budgeting and planning to ensure a disruptive market entry
- You are the ultimate source of metrics and insights about the Portuguese market for the local CEO, the local Sales Marketing team as well as for further stakeholders at the HQ
- You ensure close alignment with smart Europe's CFO and respective functions to support Finance governance as well as further areas of expertise such as HR, Legal, Compliance and Procurement
- As member of a distributed team of specialists across Europe, you will own expertise on special topics to be translated into business practices within the broader Smart Europe organizations

**What you bring along**:

- You have operative experience in the Finance area, ideally in sales organizations and/or automotive
- You have enough work experience in comparable roles in Portugal to interact with external stakeholders
- Strong communication, analytical skills, and ability to connect across with key-stakeholders across a complex organization
- Work experience as user within SAP is an advantage
- Experience in the areas of Legal, HR or Procurement can be an asset (we are happy for you to develop in these areas)
- You are fluent in English & Portuguese; any other European language is a plus
- You have a university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or comparable degree
