- You take a key role in the closing periods: you highly support the execution of quarterly consolidation process in order to deliver consolidated financial statements which are used for internal and external purposes. You prepare consolidation entries related to P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and intercompany eliminations. You highly contribute to the Directional and IFRS analysis including the statement of change in equity, the working capital analysis with a special focus on Contract assets/liabilities and asset under construction under Directional reporting, deferred income, finance lease receivable. You challenge the submission from pillars and book manual journals entries to correct their submission when needed.
- You contribute to the final reports for Management: you help prepare consolidated accounts for the group on a quarterly basis and provide input for the annual report, investor and top management related presentations.
- You are responsible for performance of internal controls regarding consolidation processes: you ensure compliance with internal control (ICOFR) for the consolidation process and strive for continuous improvement of it.
- You help prepare the consolidated budgeting and forecasting: you will contribute to the internal management (board) reporting and preparation of the consolidated financial statements for external communication.
- You contribute to prepare Covenants ratio calculation on a quarterly basis
- You contribute to support the Consolidation team lead for Ad-Hoc requests
- You understand and are able to challenge bridges between Directional/ VPROP and IFRS for balance sheet and cash flow statements accounts.
- You interact with various internal stakeholders: you regularly organize alignments and calls with the internal accounting community and the finance teams of the operating units. You communicate clearly and efficiently with your internal and external stakeholders.
- You liaise with external auditors as part of the year-end closing
- You support transition to new ERP system and contribute to implement a proper data migration in the consolidation tool.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Education: Certified/Master degree/Business School in accounting - auditing
- Experience: 5-7 years’ experience in an audit or accounting Firm followed by at least 4 years in a consolidation role in an international environment.
- You are knowledgeable of the finance lease files and are able to understand and challenge the Directional and IFRS bookings for lease contracts classified as Finance leases during the construction period.
- You have SBM expertise in regards of the complex organizational structure of the Group and the contractual set up and agreements associated with this structure.
- You have a strong SBM expertise of the structure of the consolidation tool (SAP BPC) in the context of SBM specificities in terms of consolidation rules and of internal organizational structure.
- You are able to support the accounting and reporting team in solving blocking controls, prepare specific manual journal entries and reconcile intercompany balances during quarterly closing.
- You perfectly understand and are able to challenge bridges between Directional/ VPROP and IFRS for balance sheet and cash flow statements accounts.
- You have a very good knowledge of the current consolidation tool and rules to support a proper implementation of the new ERP system and migration of data from the ERP to the consolidation tool.
Knowledge: which are a key factor for the position:
- Solid accounting and IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS 15, IFRS 16 (as a lessor and as a lessee) and IFRS 10/11 consolidation methods and joint arrangements.
- Agility with tools (ERP environment, strong use of excel)
- Ability to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines, including in a fast-moving environment (for example: ERP transition, organizational changes)
- Statutory accounting and tax requirements
- Fluent in English
- Analytical skills and critical thinking
- Able to work with various internal/external interlocutors
