Our Fabrics Business Unit produces and delivers filtration fabrics for mining, chemicals, laundry, dry filtration and Pulp and Paper industries globally. Our offering helps the customer to increase productivity, achieve lower operating costs, save energy and improve quality.

We are looking for a Buyer to strengthen our global team in developing dryer fabrics for Paper and Board machines and filtration fabrics for Pulp and Paper and other industries. The role is based in Ovar, Portugal.

Your duties:
In this position you will be responsible for purchasing technical goods and services for the industrial operations.

In procurement you will have knowledge of the equipment, materials and supplies that are used in our industry, being able to identify companies that sell them.

You will source, evaluate, and negotiate purchase agreements with global suppliers as well as follow their KPIs and performances. Furthermore, operative purchasing is part of your daily work.

What you need to be successful in the role:

- MSc/BSc. Degree in Engineering or experience in commercial areas
- Preferably you have some experience in procurement area
- Ability to lead commercial negotiations
- Ability to deal with forecast approaches and lead times
- Ability to work under pressure and in changing circumstances with strong sense of responsibility and independence
- Logical thinking with practical and hands-on attitude will help your daily work
- Team player attitude to cooperate and build relationship in a matrix, multi-cultural, international environment and within the own team
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Experience from SAP ERP system is considered as an advantage
- Willingness to travel occasionally
