**SENIOR BUYER (M/F)**
**Sleep.8 **is a company which found its origins in London, specializing in the manufacture of furniture and mattresses. In just 3 years, we have opened 36 stores in 8 European countries and our expansion plan foresees the opening of several stores nationally and internationally, marking a new era for the group. Currently, we intend to increase our team in our production unit in S. João da Madeira.
Your role as **SENIOR BUYER **(M/F) is very important to us. You will have as main responsibility developing the supply base for all raw materials in short, medium and long term aligned with defined targets for cost, quality, delivery and safety.
**THE DAY-TO-DAY OF A SENIOR BUYER (M/F) IN SLEEP.8**:
- Responsible to Create a Commodity Strategy;
- Responsible for monthly follow up of targets defined for own portfolio and define Improvement Actions/Projects;
- Work with Internal and External Stakeholders;
- Responsible for monitoring and managing supplier capabilities and performance, plan audits and follow improvement actions;
- Make market analysis and cost benchmarking;
- Understand market trends and demands as premises to incorporate into Commodity and supplier’s strategies;
- Conduct annual negotiations with suppliers;
- Coordinate and align efforts/initiatives with cross functional teams in order to optimize Supply Chain;
- Support new project developments to ensure new Products Implementations;
- Establish suppliers Contracts.
**WHAT WE SEEK IN YOU**:
- Degree in Engineering/Economics/Business Administration or other relevant related areas;
- Minimum experience of 5 years in strategic purchasing experience working with multicultural and overseas markets;
- Fluent in English;
- Excellent knowledge about Excel and Power BI;
- Creativity, positive, proactive, resilient;
- Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Residence in São João da Madeira or surrounding areas.
