TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

**Tasks Summary & Responsibilities**:

- Ensure optimal transportation setups for trade inbound flows from the numerous suppliers towards the various TE Automotive EMEA facilities with well utilized trucks, appropriate frequencies as well as transit times.
- Manage inbound freight consolidations, ship mode optimizations and Inco Term adjustments together with TE’s procurement teams.
- Drive freight optimization initiatives (standard & premium).
- Establish EDI connections between suppliers, TE carriers and TE receiving locations
- Install pre-advising portals for suppliers, where beneficial.
- Project related rate negotiations with TE core carriers in close collaboration with other AUT functions.
- Run supply chain scenarios to support decisions on trade inbound transportation setups.
- Consider Intra Regional (Europe & Africa) as well as Intercontinental (APAC & Americas) trade inbound transportation flows.
- Continuous premium freight monitoring & self-driven intervention/follow up with assigned carriers and other TE functions.
- Ongoing close collaboration with TE’s procurement, planning & customer solution teams as well as the Automotive and Global Logistics EMEA transportation teams. Cooperate also with major TE suppliers.
- Providing recommendations based on data analyses and research.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferably. Ideally in economics, supply chain or logistics
- Transportation/Logistics education and profound business experience of at least 3 years
- English - fluent in speech and writing
- Strong knowledge of the Transportation/Logistics industry and operations. Ideally emphasis on trade inbound flows
- Ability to lead and manage projects in close collaboration with other functions
- Strong time management
- Powerfulness to effectively communicate between different functions
- Competent in customs formalities
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
- Experienced to work with SAP and other ERP systems
- Advanced knowledge on MS Office tools, especially Excel
