MISSION

Responsible for purchasing goods, equipment and services for Bial to use or sell, through targeting national and international markets aiming towards the acquisition at the best conditions.

MAIN ATTRIBUTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify the organization purchasing needs;
- Align the procurement plan and the pool of preferred suppliers, together with the internal requisitioners;
- Develop and maintain effective methods to optimize spending in supplying Goods, equipment and Services, through RFx and negotiations, considering the different supply sources, assessing commercial proposals and managing contracts;
- Understand market access and analyse trends in order to make informed buying decisions;
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate to guarantee the best conditions for BIAL;
- Process purchase requisitions;
- Together with the demanding area, assess the proposals and decide about the purchase, placing the orders and contracting the one with the best supply conditions (like quality, cost or time);
- Manage the status of the order and the purchasing process, until delivery and / or during the warranty period, keeping the records updated in the IT system;
- Comply with Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Policies, Standards and Procedures;
- Analyse and monitor supplier performance, implement corrective actions and develop performance improvement opportunities;
- Participate in all department activities as needed.

PREFERENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND FACTORS
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role;
- Experience in contract review;
- Ability to negotiate, influence and network with suppliers;
- Analytical skills and ability to understand the financial data necessary for decision making;
- Ability to view and manage the procurement cycle;
- Fluency in English (oral and written) - B2;
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills; excellent communication;
- High sense of responsibility, integrity and ethics;
- Customer oriented (internal and external);
- Strong IT skills.
