Our Lisbon office is located in Portugal's cosmopolitan capital. In this office, Farfetchers like to have catch ups in the ball pit or creative moments by the grand piano

**THE ROLE**:
You will be part of the indirect tax subgroup team, and therefore responsible to provide technical support in compliance procedures and improvements to our internal teams, handle indirect tax compliance matters, support finance reporting teams on issues related with the VAT compliance, support the team on the communication with Local Tax Authorities on audits, and deal with external compliance providers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide day-to-day support to other departments on indirect tax issues and questions that are directly linked with VAT compliance and reporting;
- Assist in the implementation of new tax software within the Group and further collaborate in the integration of new entities and realities that business decides to take on, from a VAT perspective;
- Audit transactions and procedures within the Group at an international level (exposure to multiple jurisdictions) to provide indirect tax compliance and/or offer solutions, and improvements proposals;
- Monthly compliance assurance by supporting tax returns' preparation from critical analysis to reports from different data sources, VAT reconciliation, indirect tax returns review and problem solving;
- Monitor workflows and keep tax related documentation updated;
- Research and analysis of indirect tax issues related to Farfetch's global business;
- Identify opportunities for effective and efficient indirect tax processes as well as Farfetch's global activity;
- Provide support on projects so that processes include on their design that transactions are accurately reflected on indirect tax returns and reports;
- Provide support on internal and external audits, and on communications with Local tax Authorities;
- Be the contact with external advisors where appropriate to provide tax advice and planning for the business, as required;

WHO YOU ARE
- Degree in finance or accounting, who is committed to building a career in tax;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
- A professional with 2-5 years of experience in indirect tax compliance;
- An excellent teamwork player and able to interact with different departments;
- Someone with results driven mind-set and able to deal with stress as we are a fast pace company, growing and changing daily;
- Analytical and have quantitative problem-solving skills;
- Dynamic and proactive with high sense of responsibility and autonomy;
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office (mainly Excel) and technology friendly as this role will require close contact with tax software programs (experience in Microsoft Dynamics as user is a plus);
