**As a Category Manager, what are you going to do?**
- Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category
- Creating and developing a strategic long-term plan for the development of the category
- Developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful suppliers’ relationship
- Building and driving relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and quality of services
- Becoming a leader in category ranging, pricing, and new technology
- Placing appropriate orders or forecasts to ensure product availability meets demand
- Leading category management projects to optimize price in collaboration with key strategic suppliers and R&D
- Collaborating with buyers to expand product categories
- Creating forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory and review it regularly to avoid excess
- Managing budget spending and saving for the category
- Drive annual negotiation based on business plan volume
- Integrate new suppliers and work with process eng and supplier quality to qualify them and remove the unique source
**What are the skills and professional experience we’re expecting from you?**
- Background business administration/logistic/planning/procurement/ supply chain degree
- 3-5 years experience as a category Manager
- Experience in 1 or 2 categories (mechanical, plastic, IT module, electronic,)
- Strong network in a category not only in Portugal but worldwide
- ERP experience is a plus, not mandatory (SAP, oracle...)
- English: spoken and writing is mandatory
- Team player / Continuous improvement spirit
- Strong people management and persuasion skills to manage and influence at all levels of the company
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good understanding of numeracy
- Strong knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
- Ability to analyze and develop accurate conclusions to support category decisions based on key data
