Tax Manager

The Tax Manager is a highly technical hands-on position, that provides support to the Europe and Asia Pacific business of Ryan in all aspects of the Tax lifecycle. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and reporting for all Ryan entities across Europe. This requires a strong understanding of tax laws and international regulations. The position includes a high level of responsibility, with extensive interaction with third parties, such as Tax offices and other countries Local partners, and with all levels of employees across multiple Practice lines, including management.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align with Ryan’s Key Results
People:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve quality, and increase efficiency
- Promote a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, open communication, and a strong sense of teamwork
Client:
- Responsible to plan and monitor corporate taxes, such as income taxes, transactions taxes and transfer pricing for Ryan entities across Europe
- Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance, tax planning and reporting
- Handle communication with countries local partners regarding fiscal obligations in each entity’s location
- Assist in estimated tax payments, tax provisions, and tax accruals
- Audit accounting bookings and ensures that everything is according to fiscal and legal standards
- Assist in statutory, internal and tax audits
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounting, Legal, and Operations, to provide tax advice and support for various projects and initiatives

- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and international regulations that may impact the company's tax compliance and reporting
- Analyze and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while staying compliant with tax laws and regulations, identifying opportunities to optimize tax savings and mitigate tax risks
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including tax authorities, auditors, and advisors, to ensure compliance and maximize value for the company
- Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes and procedures, leveraging technology and automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably with a large multinational corporation or with significant exposure to international environment.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic skills in accounting software and ERP systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft® Excel, and user knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Essential Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of corporate national and international tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and third parties
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Certificates and Licenses:
No certifications or driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position may require supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm, clients, and interface with external vendors as necessary.
- Independent travel requirement: 5-10%.
