Your new company
A Software company is looking for a Senior Financial Controller (M/F/d) to join its new SSC, in Lisbon. Your new role The Senior Financial Controller will report to the Group Financial Controller and is together with another Senior Financial Controller managing a wider team of Financial Controllers. You will be responsible for:
Lead and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the financial controllers team
Month-end close activities and reporting
Completion and filing of the annual financial statements for the legal entities including liaising with local auditors and co-ordination the audit process (across different countries)
Support with the Annual Group Audit
Analysing financial data including control of balance sheet accounts
Managing financial transactions including approval of payments
Streamlining accounting functions and operations
Evaluating and managing risk including improvements in internal controls
System improvements including automation of activities where appropriate
Support with local compliance (tax / statistics etc.)
What you'll need to succeed
2-5 years of experience within Financial Control domain from a multinational organisation
Masters degree in Finance / Accounting or any equivalent study
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Auditing experience
Compliance oriented
Proficiency in accounting software
Familiar with working in a shared service environment, preferably in an outsourcing context
Analytical skills
Good communication skills (English required)
Excellent interpersonal skills
