**Animal Sanctuary - Operations Manager**

**LOCATION**

Fujairah UAE

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

The Operations Manager is in charge of planning, directing, evaluating, and coordinating operations across the facility. He or she supervises employees as well as the care and handling of animals. The operations manager is responsible for relaying information and direction to personnel, implementing procedures related to animal care, supervising the maintenance of facilities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

**QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATION / LICENSES**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education certificate in zoology, biology, veterinary science, business administration or other related fields

**EXPERIENCE**
- 5+ years in animal industry, 3+y in management
- Experience with horses mandatory
- Experience with dogs mandatory
- Experience with animal rescue & rehoming highly regarded

**KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE**
- Expansive knowledge in wildlife management procedures and protocols, thorough understanding of the needs and habits of the different types of animals.
- Report writing
- Advanced MS office skills - word, excel, outlook, ppt.
- Setting and maintaining par levels for all resources required
- Building and maintaining accurate inventories
- Experience writing SOPs and training staff.
- Ability to lead a team and drive successful outcomes.
- Experience using VCMS software.
- Basic knowledge in veterinary medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent business English
