Japanese Country Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Japanese Country Manager to oversee our operations and drive business growth within the iGaming industry in Japan to be based in Lisbon. As the Japanese Country Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to penetrate the Japanese market, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the overall success of our operations in Japan.

**Responsibilities**:
**Market Strategy and Expansion**:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive market entry and expansion strategy.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Define target audience segments, tailor marketing campaigns, and develop localized strategies to attract and retain Japanese customers.
- Identify potential partnerships and collaboration opportunities with local businesses, affiliates, and relevant industry influencers.

**Business Development and Relationship Management**:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, government agencies, industry associations, and business partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all local partners and affiliates, ensuring effective communication, support, and alignment with company goals.
- Negotiate and secure favorable partnerships and licensing agreements to enhance the company's presence.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and potential risks.

**Compliance and Regulatory Management**:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements applicable to the iGaming industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as legal, compliance, and product, to ensure all operations and marketing materials are compliant with local regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the regulatory landscape and proactively implement necessary adjustments to business practices and strategies.

**Team Leadership and Management**:

- Recruit, lead, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and achievement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional development and helping them achieve individual and team goals.
- Set performance targets, monitor KPIs, and provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the iGaming industry, with a strong focus on the Japanese market.
- In-depth knowledge of the Japanese iGaming industry, including regulations, market dynamics, and customer preferences.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing market entry strategies and driving business growth in Japan.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with a track record of establishing strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements within the iGaming industry in Japan.
- Outstanding leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve business objectives.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
