**Job Description**:
The Instrumentation Superintendent is a role responsible for plan, co-ordination and control of construction from its inception to the time it is completed in compliance with the schedule, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, under the responsibility of Construction Manager.
He is responsible to supervise the compliance with HSE requirements and quality control policies and standards.
He shall support the Construction Manager to monitoring and reports the project progress and ensure that the workers or subcontractors, with the support of the supervisor, are implementing what is on the design plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure to complies with all Company Policies, Procedures and Regulations in terms of Health, Safety, Environment, Security and Quality.
- Provides leadership to cause the creation of organization to ensure the work execution in compliance to the Quality and project specification.
- Coordination of all the activity starting from the project drawing/specification/procedure review up to the completion of the erection activity.
- Plan, organize and manage all operational activities for the activities of the project within the site, coordinating the activities of the Supervisors.
- Reporting utilizing the applicable forms, all the activities to the Construction Manager in terms of progress, manpower, equipment’s in accordance with the Company procedures
- Define on time, in collaboration with the Construction Manager, the needs in terms of quantity and quality of resources (personnel, vehicles and materials) on site, logistic structures (reception and storage points for materials, etc.).
Duties and Responsibilities Details:
- Ensure that all the personnel are certified to execute specific task and all related certification FTW and training required to enter on site.
- Assure the establishment of the construction team (supervisor, foreman, up to the helpers) according to HSE Company (and Clients) requirements and the quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure the waste management procedure collaborating with the HSE department.
- Implement and ensure the stop work policy toward each project phase for activities under his responsibility or not.
- Ensuring that both the health and safety project plans are implemented
- Evaluates construction service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts and risk influence factors on “to go” scope.
- Manage day-by-day operational aspects of a project and relevant scope in terms of production phase, etc.
- Ensure, on time, with the collaboration of the HSE department the permit to work approval.
- Collaborate, if required, with the Construction Manager and Human resource during the personnel selection process.
- Collaborate, if required, with the Construction Manager and Subcontract department during the subcontractor selection.
- Participate to the negotiation with key suppliers/subcontractors, when necessary, in cooperation with procurement/subcontracting department
- Organizing, on time, equipment and tools to execute the project activities.
- Ensure the optimal use of human, material and tool resources on the construction site, establishing the daily schedule of activities with the Supervisors in order to maximize integration between the various work areas
- Be Responsible of the integrity and maintenance of equipment under the using of direct manpower or subcontractor.
- Organizing the supervisors, workers (subcontractor or direct manpower) and ensuring that they are performing as required in accordance with project schedule and drawings,
procedure.
- Ensure that each supervisor is capable of performing their allotted scope of work.
- Ensure that all supervisors understand the construction KPI’s and strive to achieve these.
- Collaborate with Construction Manager and other Superintendents to plan the activity and prevent any interference with other discipline.
- Ensure the receipt of vendor/project documentations and verify for any interference.
- Collaborate with the Technical department during all project phase, to solve any interference detected on site and formalize any variation from the project design.
- Support the Technical department for Method statement preparation.
- Support the Technical department for lifting plan preparation (if required).
- Ensure the receipt of project material and verify the quantity and type of material according to the project drawings and company specifications.
- Ensure that the site area/s is/are ready in term of:
- Availability for temporary storage project material and eventually preassembling.
- Interferences with other discipline/contractors/operation activity in case of existing plant.
- Ensure the status of:
- Steel structure are released for instrument cable tray installation.
- Cable trays are ready and released by Qa/Qc for cable
