You will be responsible to:
Shapes and steers the external perception of Hovione and its environment through influencer engagement, either on a global or a regional/country/site level. These influencers can be parts of the general public, media representatives, social media advocates, our shareholders, specific communities, our leaders and employees and other stakeholders. Defines and implements the corporate brand strategy on a global scale. Develops, maintains and implements plans for Hovione’s leading communications themes and delivers these through high-quality messaging and data-driven tactics using a mix of impactful, innovative communications challenges and engagement instruments.
- Support in the annual internal and external communication plans, and support their implementation by measuring the results of Communication activities and identifying action items.
- Create or implement global brand communication, including advertising, tradeshows, press, mailings, corporate documentation and Company image projection in general according to the strategy of the Marketing and Communication Area.
- Coordinate the Company´s events - all commercial events such as tradeshows, seminars and conferences as well as internal events - either in Portugal or abroad.
- Draft and/or review relevant written Hovione communications with publication or marketing scope (press releases, advertisements, and other public related material), namely by checking their coherence and recommends / takes appropriate actions as needed.
- Manage the media relationships, national and international, research editorial opportunities, provide editorial content, and build relationships with key industry media.
- Ensure messaging is consistent with overall communication objectives in the intranet and Hovione´s web site.
- Act as liaison with other areas and sites in order to support internal communications programs.
- Support in the activity plan and related budget for the area under his/ her responsibility in line with the unit's strategy, in order to align activities with the department strategic objectives.
- Monitor small areas of the Communication´s budget, by controlling budget evolution, identifying any deviations between the real and the foreseen and taking corrective measures.
- Coordinate the TMs assigned to his/her area of responsibility, namely in terms of recruitment, integration, training needs and performance management in accordance with the company's HR policies, in order to ensure all TMs are aligned and motivated towards achieving Hovione's goals, values and culture by promoting their personal and professional development whilst maximizing productivity.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others) within his/ her TMs.
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
- Master´s degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
- Technical background preferred
- Typically requires 5 years of relevant experience in communication
- Experience in leading others in project context
- Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Track record of overachieving targets
- Possess solid knowledge of communication principles and practices
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Skilled at managing processes and tools
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down
