ROLE SUMMARY

At Pfizer we are committed to delivering breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. In the Internal Medicine Business Unit, we aim to impact both standard of care for patients as well as standard of practice for ambulatory and hospital-based healthcare professionals (HCP) and other stakeholders.

This role provides a rare opportunity to plan and execute the marketing plans of this innovative compound, operating in a high-functioning joint venture and Alliance structure. The role will support in the delivery of strategic, operating and tactical plans, Omnichannel HCPs’ promotional campaign, monitor local competitive intelligence, assess Market research needs and support the delivery of Medical Education programs including local, regional and global congress plans and webinars. The role will also support the execution of innovative go-to-market model (GTM) partnership programs as developed by the Global+Local (GLocal) working groups.

In this role, the colleague will have the opportunity to work with a diverse cross functional team, both In Country and Globally to deliver key marketing initiatives, as well as liaising with external KOLs and key stakeholders to support the development and implementation of these programs.

This role will deliver flawless execution of marketing plans to ensure a strong customer experience whilst creating sustainable value and incorporating strong financial management skills for the local direct marketing expenses (DME) budget.

This role is a unique opportunity to demonstrate strong business acumen and cross-functional leadership. The role will require high flexibility, ability to drive change and deal with uncertainty, proven experience in delivering creative approaches to solve issues, and track-record of working GLocally with challenging deadlines.

The position reports into the Internal Medicine Rare Diseases Lead with location based in Porto Salvo, Portugal.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Strategy Execution:

- Lead development of the Country brand plan
- Accountable for tailoring (glocalizing) global brand strategies and tactical programs to meet local market needs
- Drive execution of brand strategy in country - lead implementation of key brand programs
- Meet/exceed local revenue targets
- Identify, develop, and execute any key projects that enhance our business performance and independently lead projects
- Leadership:

- Coordinate specific country cross functional team projects
- Accountable for the planning and coordination of the stakeholder engagement, across Commercial roles, to meet IM Category objectives
- Active collaboration with internal marketing team members as with external co-promotion players
- Financial Planning:

- Responsible for the revenue and DME forecasts
- Support the development of brand LRF and LE forecast numbers ensuring credible assumptions in line with performance expectations
- Prepare ad-hoc business cases to maximize identified market opportunities
- Customer Engagement & Insights:

- Alignment with the cross functional team, ensuring that customer and patients’ insights as well as market issues are well understood and processed into local business plans
- Ensure that all brand plans and activities are in full compliance with Pfizer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laws & regulations

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- University degree in Science, Health Science or Business required
- Pharma Industry: 3+ years of pharmaceutical experience. Understanding of trends in health care and pharmaceuticals, customer and stakeholder landscape, competitive dynamics and sources of business in Portugal
- Marketing experience is an advantage
- Strong project management, coordination skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Comfort with ambiguity and complex environments
- Agile mindset, track record of pushing boundaries and not accepting the _status quo_, comfortable working with challenging timelines
- Be an active contributor to create and operate in an environment that continuously embraces and encourages the implementation of innovative ideas and fosters aculture of collaboration and teamwork
- Strong interpersonal skills required, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
