Currently, we are positioned as a top-ranked innovative player in the supply of added-value ingredients for the food and beverage industry, focusing on fruit preparations, plant-based dairy alternatives, liquid flavours, and other specialty ingredients.

We are looking for a
**Senior Buyer** for our
**Procurement Department, **in
**Maia**.

**RESPONSABILITIES**
- Set up the Global Strategy of purchases of indirect materials, utilities, services and CAPEX for all the factories of Frulact’s Group.
- Identification of overall purchasing requirements/needs, by data gathering and close collaboration with the industrial department.
- Evaluate offers, conduct negotiations, nominate suppliers, and award business accordingly.
- Balance both tactical executions with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects.
- Analyze and monitor international procurement markets, evaluate, and communicate market-specific data.
- Select, evaluate, and develop global suppliers.
- Innovate and implement purchasing strategies for technical components in project buying.
- Participate actively in other cross-functional teams and global projects.
- Report directly to the Global Head of Procurement & Supply Chain.

**PROFILE**
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in purchasing indirect materials in a global manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on technical project buying; CAPEX experience would be beneficial but not required
- Academic degree in business, engineering, or comparable degree
- Successful track record of cost saving delivery.
- Team player with strong negotiation skills, determination, and persuasive personality as well as distinct analytical competencies
- Proficient level in English (mandatory); Other languages would be beneficial.
- Availability for occasional travelling between Frulact sites and to visit suppliers.
- Based in Frulact HQ´s in Maia, Porto, Portugal
