We have offices in Lisbon, Porto, Óbidos, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona and Trieste (Italy) and we are looking for 1 (one) Financial Controller to work in our Lisbon office.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Creating financial reports, building budgets and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Supervise and ensure compliance with reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional controller duties as necessary.

Critical Components
- Proven working experience in finance management and strategy.
- 6+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

- High degree of self-discipline, strong interpersonal relationship skills, autonomy, proactivity and excellent leadership skills.
- Self-organized, exceptional problem-solving oriented, self-motivated individual who is confident, thorough and tenacious with a strategic vision.
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven, detail-oriented and able to “zoom” in/out from the big picture to the minutiae.
- Ability to effectively operate under pressure and with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.

Language Skills
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
- We value other language knowledge like Spanish, French and/or Dutch (spoken and written).
