Solution Architect

LEICA PORTUGAL is searching for a Solution Architect to its facilities in V. N. Famalicão.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Planning activities
- Technology scouting in the area of camera software and imaging platform
- Discussing the technical possibilities before and during the specification phase together with developers and commercialisation management
- Identifying imprecise formulations or contradictory requirements in the specifications
- Developing the architecture of the system and the support systems
- Technical design of the system (system design)
- Analysing the feasibility
- Description of non-functional requirements
- Specification of the system integration
- Discussing the technical possibilities before and during the specification phase together with developers
- Testing of software systems
- Adopting new software development concepts and strategies
- Supporting project managers in technical issues

Development activities during the development phase
- Identification, selection and introduction of required development tools
- Co-determination in the selection of partners, suppliers and software platforms
- Managing partners (software suppliers) with regard to technical issues
- Planning test circuits and guiding other developers to set them up
- Defining software interfaces in the team
- Realising and testing the hardware and software interfaces
- Creating test reports and exchanging the results with developers
- Testing the hardware and software system for compliance with specifications

Activities in preparation for series production
- Creation of test specifications, implementation and execution of corresponding module, function and system tests
- Defining the test conditions together with quality assurance
- Collaboration with production planning during the realisation of a test device
- Performing activities within the scope of product start-up and product maintenance
- Optimisation of a test concept for the developed software
- Searching for and identifying opportunities to optimise the quality of the software and test concept

PROFILE
- Completed university degree in electronics, IT or systems engineering or industrial management and engineering;
- Good understanding or additional training in project management;
- Problem-solving and ability to create new solutions;
- Structured, data-oriented and methodical way of working;
- Ability to work in a team, resilience and assertiveness;
- Fluency in written and spoken English
