H.B. Fuller is a leading global adhesives provider focusing on perfecting adhesives, sealants and other specialty chemicals across all industries throughout the world. The Marketing Manager will have the primary responsibility for the strategic marketing activities supporting select segments within our Rigid Packaging adhesives business, which is part of our Hygiene, Health, and Consumable (HHC) global business unit. This position will report to the Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for HHC.

The Marketing Manager will manage a team of 2-4 strategic marketers and closely collaborate with business and segment leaders, marketing communications, pricing, product line management, commercial, technical service and R&D teams to support business growth strategies.

PRIMARY DUTIES

The Marketing Manager will develop and execute the strategic marketing plan globally for their assigned Rigid Packaging adhesive market segments and from time to time advise, coordinate or take action on initiatives that span all segments within Rigid Packaging. The primary responsibilities include:

- Globally track and define market segments, market share position, key technologies, market trends and competitive activity with input and agreement from the regional team members
- Set the product line segmentation of existing products and clearly define our value proposition
- Work with regional marketing and sales professionals to make sure sales professionals are trained and have the right selling tools to clearly articulate the value proposition of our company and our promote products
- Develop the new product development roadmap and drive us towards commercialization of new products that address unmet customer needs by:

- Building internal relationships with multiple functions (commercial, technical service, R&D, etc.) to gain internal knowledge that can be leveraged to develop strategies and value propositions that differentiate us
- Gathering voice of customer (VOC), industry trends, and competitive intelligence
- Managing product lifecycles
- Work with technology, product line managers and pricing on strategies to improve the profitability of the business and drive those strategies through to execution with buy in from commercial leaders
- Manage new product development projects through the stage gate process for top projects globally. In this process, the Marketing Manager III will act as project manager, keeping others on task, but also owning the marketing deliverables throughout the process, such as advising on our right to win in the targeted space, defining requirements, creating value proposition statements, and developing commercialization plans.

EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED

This role supervises 2-4 strategic marketers (marketing managers, specialists or analysts) that are based around the world.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BA or BS degree in applicable degree.
- Minimum of 7+ years of B2B marketing or commercial experience.
- Significant project management experience.
- Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence and motivate others in leadership positions or without direct reporting authority.
- Ability to manage budgets and outside vendors.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Demonstrated skills in the following competencies:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA preferred.
- Knowledge of the adhesives/chemical industry or rigid packaging market.
