We are currently seeking a System Administrator to join our team.

**YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSABILITIES**:

- Maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers and virtualization infrastructure.
- Monitor datacenter health using management tools and analytics, responding to hardware or software issues as they arise.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems and assessing impact of issues.
- Handle business-critical IT infrastructure incidents, providing necessary support and resolution in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
- Help build, test, deploy and maintain new servers or network equipment as needed.
- Perform and automate regular backup operations, implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures.
- Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause and provide technical support when needed.
- Plan, document and implement operation activities in the IT infrastructure and IT Network.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure the best practices and recommendations are applied to IT infrastructure.
- Define, plan, and execute High Availability and Disaster recovery plans.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:

- Bachelor’s degree required; BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred**.**:

- Availability to work on a hybrid-model (2x a week in the Office in Lisbon).
- 2+ years of experience in Windows based operating systems (Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019) and IIS Server.
- 2+ years of database, network administration and system administration experience in high availability and 24/7 environments.
- 2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of computer TCP/IP networks, DMZ design, Firewall configuration and routing.
- Knowledge of Virtualization Systems using VMWare.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration.
- Knowledge of SAN/ISCSI storage.
- Experience in backup tools like VEEAM or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of implementing IT operations best practices.
