We are looking for Environmental, Health & Safety Officer will be passionate about providing fully support to aligned with the corresponding local and national legislation, ensuring that all our colleagues in Portugal are acting safely and implement to our HSE policies.

We are offering a one-year contract to cover a maternity leave, presenting you with the exciting opportunity to join our expanding and diverse Environmental, Health & Safety team.

You will have the unique opportunity to report directly to our Quality & HSE Manager in Portugal, be based in Palmela, and cooperate, among others, prevention delegates, authorities, and colleagues from all over the world.

We're looking for someone eager to:

- Help develop, evaluate, and improve HSE programs, ensuring safe conditions and implementing necessary actions.
- Manage waste segregation, identification, and labelling, supporting waste reports.
- Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare corresponding reports.
- Advise senior management on safety compliance and prevention and assist in employee training.
- Provide support for Emergency Preparedness and Response.
- Handle contracts with suppliers.

What does it take to become our new team member?

While education in Chemistry/Environment or a technical field is valuable, a HSE training education is required by local legislation. Proven experience as an environment, health, and safety technician is crucial, but additional knowledge of paint and coating technologies is advantageous. Proficiency in English communication and computer skills are also necessary for this role.
