**Admission Requirements**:
Research Initiation Grants are intended:

- for students enrolled in a professional higher technical course, undergraduate degree, integrated master's degree, or master's degree, to undertake initial R&D activities, with a view to beginning their scientific training through integration in R&D projects to be developed in national institutions.
- for students carrying out initial R&D activities who are enrolled in non-degree courses integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.

**Work Objectives**:
Embedded Systems and AI for C-ITS 1. Integration in the area and review of related work 2. Sensor installation and configuration (Lidar, Radar, etc.). 3. Measurement campaign to obtain ground truth data. 3. Implementation of sensor fusion algorithms. 4. Preparation of documentation, including technical reports and scientific papers.

The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Joaquim José de Castro Ferreira.

**Duration**:
6 months, with the possibility of renewal. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 1 year. Start date: November 2024 or soon thereafter.

**Monthly salary**:
