**The Position**
In Portugal, the **Pricing, Tenders & Market Access (PTMA) Senior Specialist** plays a crucial role in ensuring we define optimized strategies to our current and future portfolio in straight collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to meet strategic business goals.
The PTMA Senior Specialist is responsible to map market access pathways for both medicines and medical devices and to prepare and implement access dossiers for health authorities and payers. A key component of the job is to implement and advise on pricing strategies and to manage tender activities.
**What you will do**
Reporting to the External Affairs, Policy, Communication and Market Access Lead, the PTMA Senior Specialist:
- Coordinates and implements all required internal processes with Global Pricing and all other internal stakeholders for Annual Price Reference exercise or net prices changes in Portugal.
- Coordinates the preparation and submission of tenders and proposals.
- Supports the development and implementation of the Market Access Strategy for both medicines and medical devices developed and/or distributed by Organon.
- Manages, prepares and develops reimbursement dossiers for healthcare authorities and payers.
**Position **Responsibilities**:
- Owns the pricing strategy and collaborates internally to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Manages the Annual Price Referencing activities.
- Manages Tenders & Contracts activities, ensuring a successful tender strategy. Oversees the preparation, coordination, and submission of tenders and proposals, ensuring compliance with all client requirements and deadlines. Identifies potential risks associated with contracts and tenders and develops strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure all tender and contract activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations. Works closely with internal departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and support in contract and tender processes.
- Builds price and reimbursement strategies that will ensure competitive positioning of Organon drugs vs. comparators, throughout their whole lifecycle.
- Collaborates closely with local and international colleagues from External Affairs, Pricing, Outcome Research, Regulatory, Marketing, Medical and Market Research, to ensure alignment on market access strategies.
- Advises the Global/Regional Access teams on data that will be needed locally for the products in the pipeline according to their lifecycle.
**Education & Experience**:
- University degree (pharmacist, master’s in sciences, pharmaco-economist, or similar).
- Master/Post graduation/Specialized education in pharmaco-economics (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working on market access, pricing and/or tender management areas.
- Good knowledge of pharmaco-economics processes/rules/regulation in Portugal.
- Good insight of the market access environment and key customers, strong interest in health policies and the healthcare system in general
