World leader in antibody discovery, engineering, characterization and production seeks to hire a Biophysical Characterization Scientist.

Your new role

As a Scientist you would work within the Biophysical Characterization Unit (BCU) and you would be responsible for supporting the team during the biophysical characterization of proteins (mainly antibodies) activities using well-established methodologies. You will work closely with Quality Control and Downstream Purification teams.

What you need to be successful
- PhD/MSc in biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences or a relevant field;
- 3 to 4 years industrial experience in pharmaceutical industry, within a Characterization, Formulation or Analytics Group is preferred;
- Hands-on experience in liquid chromatography (size exclusion, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, reverse-phase or HILIC) and electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, icIEF and CGE);
- Hands-on experience in DLS (dynamic light scattering), DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) and mass spectrometry (LC-MS);
- Ability to autonomously work with SOPs;
- In addition to these technical skills, you must have a genuine enthusiasm for scientific research, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent command of the English language.
