Anova is excited to add a Junior Operations Assistant to our Coimbra, Portugal location. This qualified individual will bring their talents to our global operations team and focus their efforts on connecting the industrial world - for better.

About the Role:

- Set up and manage new systems and tools to gather, analyze, and provide insights from different data points
- Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs - monthly reporting
- Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process, creating new procedures in accordance with ISO 9001
- Collaborating with operations manager to develop and implement controls and improvements
- Assist Operations manager in coordinating ISO, ATEX, IECEx audits and setting new WEEE compliant schemes
- Ensuring workflows, processes and products comply with safety regulations and customer quality specifications
- Forecast and plan assigned “commodities” at the SKU level
- Monitor and report key performance metrics, including Purchase Price Variance, inventories, shortages, and supplier performance
- Manage inventories to ensure continuous production while maximizing turns.
- Responsible for reverse logistic and RMA analysis, gathering information from a variety of sources, compiling information, and solutions, involving others as appropriate
- Monitor and keep track on waste management program and compliance with all WEEE schemes
- Monitor compliance with DG and ADR requirements - creating appropriate procedures and building bridges with forwards and couriers for DG and ADR shipments

About you:

- Degree in Business Administration or Engineering, (preferably in Industrial Engineering)
- Knowledge in ISO 9001, WEEE directive and LEAN tools
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably PRIMAVERA or EPICOR, and QMS tools or platforms
- Experience in international logistics, DG and ADR shipments, customs and TAX obligations for inbound, outbound, drop shipments, etc.
- Proficient in English (other languages are a plus)
- Proficient with EXCEL and POWERBI (SQL and Python is a plus)
- Ease to create/ read and interpret workflows and procedures
- DG training preferred
