Core Infrastructure Manager

To be part of the Core Infrastructure team at JM IT Global Organization we seek a VMWare/Linux Administrator to contribute to the ongoing support, growth, and administration of a global Infrastructure platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Administration of the VMWare/Linux (SUSE/Redhat based /Debian based) platforms and related services (NGINX, Apache, Redis, named etc);
- Provide proactive administration, management, design, implementation and support for VMWare/Linux platforms and solutions;
- Platform maintenance encompassing performance tuning, error identification/correction and vulnerability remediation;
- Perform platform upgrades from planning all the way through to execution;
- Configure/standardize scalable deployments.

WHO YOU ARE
- University Degree in IT or related areas (e.g., Computer Science, IT Management) or the relevant industry certifications and training;
- At least 5 years of experience in similar function, with a track record in implementation within large organizations;
- Strong working knowledge of VMWare and Linux;
- Experience with storage solutions (HPE 3PAR, Hitachi, Brocade);
- Experience with backup solution (Dell Networker, Dataprotector);
- Understanding of the ITIL framework;
- Understanding of Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS and GCP);
- Nice to have automation skills Ansible, Terraform, pipelining and scripting;
- Nice to have experience with Linux clustering (Pacemaker/HPE Service Guard);
- Previous experience with automation tools will be greatly valued;
- Previous project experience in a multicultural environment will also be valued;
- Hybrid remote working;
- Good problem resolution skills, solution oriented, capable of establishing the right priorities with diligence and initiative;
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact and be a relevant team member;
- Capability to work within tight schedules;
- Be part of a standby rotation 24/7 support team;
- Good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken (mandatory).
