The employer is looking for a dockmaster, who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dock operations, ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vessels
**Responsibilities**:
With your fellow dockmaster, you will form a well-oiled (marine) team, taking joint responsibility when docking.
- Your role revolves around the careful docking in and out of ships. As a team you manage a small team that assists you in this docking process.
- Based on plans from the drawing office, you coordinate the placement of the dock chairs (correct location and height).
- Maintenance of the dry dock is part of your responsibilities (for example, inspection of anchor chains).
- During docking, you perform supporting logístical tasks, like operating the top crane and forklift. Just as well you get to work with the (de)assembly of the propulsion line.
- You will assist the project leaders during the lifting operations.
- After docking, you will work together with the dock technicians on all aspects related to the outside of a ship.
**PROFILE**
You have a technical background.
- You have a couple of years of experience in the maritime sector. You need to know how docking works.
- You have to be flexible, sometimes dockings are in the evening or the weekend.
- You are willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
- You have good and clear English skills at B2-C1 level, this is the language you will communicate in.
**CONDITIONS**
Regular hours per week - 38h
Paycheck - Monthly
Gross salary / hour - €17-€20/h (negotiable)
Mealvouchers - no
Overtime - 7-12h/week is the average
How is overtime paid? - 150% or an extra holiday
Working hours
- Mo-Thu: 8:00-16:30
Fr: 8:00-14:30

- Hospitalization insurance, also for family members for a fee.

**HOUSING & TRANSPORTATION**
- The employer provides accommodation for you. You have a whole apartment to yourself or you can choose to share the apartment and pay less.
- The employee is obliged to pay tax on "free housing". The amount depends on the price of the flat, but is much lower than the actual cost of accommodation. This will be discussed during the interviews.
- The cost of first time arrival is paid by the employee. The empoyer does **not **cover the cost of travel to work.
Pay: 4,200.00€ - 5,000.00€ per month
