Fuller Global Trade Compliance team, to build and expand your knowledge and understanding of import and export operations and strategies around the world. This role offers a unique visibility into the cutting-edge issues facing global companies trading goods.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented professional to support H.B. Fuller’s international trade activities as its global business units continue to expand. This role will enable you to learn about the many exciting aspects of customs and related international regulations and practices.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Trade Compliance Intern will perform a variety of duties designed to encourage professional growth and development, through a diversity of experiences, including the collection, compilation, analysis, and presentation of data related to our international transactions around the world. This role will execute on a broad range of short
- and medium-term projects, including assisting in the review of import and export processes and documents in multiple countries; analyzing data to support free trade claims, and managing/updating core product data needed for official import and export filings. The Trade Compliance intern works collaboratively with supply chain, logistics, procurement, customer service, regulatory, legal, finance/ tax and business operations in support of our trade compliance across business units and the multiple countries where H.B. Fuller does business. There is flexibility for some remote work as an option.

**PRIMARY DUTIES**:

- Assist in analyzing the qualification of traded goods for free trade claims.
- Support auditing of processes and transactions globally.
- Help manage data collection and maintenance for product classifications.
- Conduct targeted research on international trade topics and summarize findings in written presentations.
- Engage in data mining and data analytics efforts to identify global trade compliance metrics and trends.
- Pursue process improvements to ensure transaction documents meet country specific customs requirement.
- Help answer companywide inquiries related to various global trade compliance topics.
- Facilitate sanctions and restricted party screening compliance.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Exceptional problem solving and computer/skillsets.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with very strong Excel skills.
- Ability to (or learn how to) navigate SAP.
- Demonstrated strength in working as a team.
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Seeks to understand and act upon improvement opportunities

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1+ years of experience
- Experience with project management
- Ability to understand global impact of regulatory or tax-associated decisions.
