Npi Buyer

TE Connectivity's Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment and services, gather quotations, examine bids, and award contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. They also look for and recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.

**Responsibilities**:
Support customer quotation during project acquisition phase.
Participate in project meetings, influencing cost structure positively with alternative production methods and suppliers.
Analyze market trends and gather future requirements.
Drive technical project management from customer request to final release.
Ensure project execution according to customer timelines.
Contribute to design reviews with VA/VE analysis and propose alternative production methods.
Coordinate communication between various departments and stakeholders.
Negotiate quotations to meet project targets.
Present post-RFQ evaluations in sourcing meetings and select suppliers.
Coordinate handover of projects to commodity buyers.
Lead product line-related saving projects within procurement.
Coach and guide team members.
Identify and drive process improvements.

**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent : Toolmaker (Stamping/Molding or Assembly tools)
3+ years of experience in automotive industry is an advantage
**Fluent in German and English,** other languages a plus.
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven negotiation skills.
Experience in project management.
Broad technical understanding of production processes.
Ability to work in a multicultural team.
Customer-focused with a continuous improvement attitude.
Driver's license class B.
Willingness to travel.
