We work in a domain of EDP Innovation called Storage & Flexibility, which mission is to identify innovative technologies and new impactful business opportunities in storage & flexibility areas thus supporting EDP on identifying early options and lead the energy transition. We´re aiming to recruit a Storage & Flexibility Expert:
**Job Description**:

- Screen technology developments and anticipate market trends that could materially impact EDP's position on storage & flexibility
- Develop deep technical analysis and knowledge on emerging storage & flexibility technologies
- Propose new business ideas to be developed and tested as potential internal ventures
- Provide technical support to new business ideas and projects on storage & flexibility related topics
- Propose, structure, develop and execute pilot projects of emerging storage & flexibility innovative solutions to increase business knowledge
- Structure potential business models and identify commercial attractiveness of emerging technologies
- Evaluate technology feasibility and market readiness of potential investment target companies
- Perform technical due diligence on the technology of potential investment target companies
- Provide support to the EDP Ventures' companies and Startup Engagement Programes
- Execute projects in collaboration with other Innovation areas
- Stablish and manage the relationship between EDP Inovação and BUs
- Build trusted relations with relevant stakeholders (technology suppliers, investors, institutions)

What we are looking for:

- Engineering background with functional relevant experience
- Strong understanding on technology development
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking/business perspective
- Experience in R, Matlab, Python or similar
- Previous exposure to the energy/power industry (ideal but not mandatory)
- Expertise in deal, contract structuring and negotiating (ideal but not mandatory)
- Entrepreneurial experience with technology (ideal but not mandatory)
- Experience in business development (ideal but not mandatory)
- Strong soft skills: creative, communication, curiosity, collaborative and proactive
- Fluent in English;
