**Job Description**:
Biogen is one of the world's leading biotechnology companies and is especially dedicated to the development of therapies for neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and spinal muscular atrophy.

The Intern/trainee will be trained by the Corporate Affairs, Value&Access and Commercial team in Portugal, namely in tasks related with internal and external communication projects, marketing activities and other external engagements, such as sponsorships and interactions with HCPs, PAGs or Payers.

The intern/trainee will be able to understand processes that are required for the completion of the external stakeholder engagement in a compliant manner, will get the exposure in the internal communication and how to collaborate cross-functionally.

It is understood that the Intern/trainee will be assigned the tasks and responsibilities gradually, as he / she will gain the experience and will be trained by the internal mentors.

**Main responsibilities**
- Introductions to all areas that are part of a pharmaceutical industry affiliate and their interdependencies and integration.
- Understanding the impact of Corporate Affairs, Market Access and Commercial departments, as well as how they support the objectives of Biogen Portugal:

- Introduction to the Company's Communication Plan and how the Company interacts and supports patient organisations
- Acquisition of the basics of market access for innovative and biosimilar medicines.
- Introduction to basic concepts of pharmaceutical marketing and management of mature brands and/or brands being launched.
- Develop skills in managing the tactical plan of the brands and its impact on the field force (including filed interactions).
- Supporting the management of Corporate, Multichannel and Commercial (Sales&MKTG) projects, including the management of internal and external communication initiatives, digital projects, sponsorships, and interactions with external partners:

- Understanding how the corporate communication strategy is developed in the areas where Biogen operates and supporting its implementation, including the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of Biogen Portugal.
- Knowledge aacquisition about Biogen's marketing strategy and support to its implementation, including management of marketing materials and presentations.
- Internal and external communication initiatives, digital projects, sponsorships and interactions with external partners:

- Support to management and implementation of sponsorships for the affiliate.
- Support to requests for web developments.
- Management of participants in events and support in logistics in a systematized and shared way.
- Support in the production of reports for digital initiatives: events, e-learnings, etc.
- Interaction and support to external initiatives, such as conducting educational activities, support, sponsorship to third parties, including field visits and attendance at external events.
- Support for the creation of a database with external stakeholders:

- Supporting the mapping, development, and profiling of stakeholders.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of Pharm-SAR - Strategic Account Report for Pharmaceutical Services.

**Qualifications**:

- Academic degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnological Engineering) or Social Sciences (e.g. Communication and Marketing, Economics and Management or Information Management).
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency with computers, including MS office and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes.
- Proficiency in the English language (written and spoken).
- High interest in learning, organized and efficient, proactive and with a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage priorities to answer simultaneous requests from different stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret the legislation, guidelines, official documents, and procedures within Health industry.
- Autonomy and ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Experience in Social Media, SEO, Google Analytics, web development, POWER BI, Sales Force, is a valued.
