**Purpose of Position**:
The Sustainability Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and communication of NetJets Europe’s sustainability strategies, initiatives, compliance efforts, and goals. They work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure we are differentiating ourselves within the private aviation sector. They are continuously aiming to reduce our overall environmental impact through innovation, ideation, and overall efficiency.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Ideates, implements, and supports the overall strategy and direction of NetJets Europe’s sustainability program.
- Assists in the collection and reporting of data to ensure necessary compliance with Europeans regulations and schemes (i.e., familiarity with ICAO mission, CORSIA, etc.). Partners as needed to comply with corporate reporting and environmental audits.
- Partners with the Communications Team to develop and share internal sustainability materials. Ensures cross-functional partners are equipped with sustainability guidance and information regarding carbon offset programs, greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable aviation fuel, and carbon neutrality data.
- Works closely with NetJets Inc. to align and coordinate sustainability strategy.
- Partners with the Marketing Team to share our sustainability story externally. Prepares necessary talking points, communications, and dialogue to discuss sustainability initiatives and programs with Owners, vendors, and suppliers.
- Researches best practices in regards to carbon offset and greenhouse gas emission options within the private aviation industry.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)**:
- At least 4 years knowledge and /or experience related to environmental science, governance, or related fields.
- Prior ESG or sustainability experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of all European regulations and schemes.
- Effective interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors.
- Excellent strategic organization skills.
- Ability to use tact and professionalism including in times of extreme stress.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines,
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional/business documents, technical procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to think creatively.
