**Role Overview**

**We are looking for**:

- A Payroll Process Specialist (NL/BE) to be in charge of supporting the Solvay Belgian Payroll and Benefits Team by providing accurate and timely services linked to Payroll or Benefits for Belgium and Netherlands.
- Based in Portugal, you will be part of a team of around 12 people based in Brussels (Neder-Over-Hembeek) as well as 2 people based in Carnaxide in the Payroll Plateform. The whole team is in charge of the Benelux zone. Under the guidance of the Payroll Manager for BeNelux, you will take in charge autonomously several operational and complex activities linked to Payroll or Benefits.

**We count on you for**:

- Reassess the existing end-to-end payroll processes for the Netherlands with different stakeholders (e.g. : local HR as well as the Payroll provider) and write them down.
- Support to the team for ensuring operational management of the Belgium Payroll accounting : check, clear, validate and monitor open item in accounts on a monthly basis as well as accruals.
- Give support in order to prepare audits and risk managements (internal or external) related to Payroll for Belgium and Netherland : manage and respect deadlines, provide the information required and assure follow-up on short term basis.
- Deliver information to the external authorities and represent Solvay where required (e;g; : withholding and social follow-up) for Belgium.
- Provide reports, expertise and support to colleagues and internal stakeholders and employees (e.g. work council reports, total reward statement, collective agreements, etc.;)
- Give support to the Solvay Belgian Payroll and Benefits Team related to on-going and transversal projects (eg Power of 2 and /or Time To Pay).
- Accountable for the management and administration in payroll of different kinds of advantages as well as other specific payroll processes occurring on a monthly or yearly basis for Belgium payroll & Pensions / Benefits.
- Responsible to assure business continuity and continuous improvements with the support of payroll plateform members.
- Ensure deeper consistency checks of data received, results monitoring before implementing them in payroll / pensions & benefits on time.

**You will bring**:

- Master diploma in Payroll/HRIS/Finance or equivalent through experience
- Strong experience in Payroll on an operational level - minimum 5 years’ experience in Belgian and Dutch Payroll
- Belgium and Dutch payroll and legislation knowledge mandatory
- Fluent in French and English mandatory
- Dutch or international payroll experience is a plus
- Dutch is an asset
- In-depth knowledge of SAP HR
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google tools, advanced use of spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Work proactively and autonomously with strong customer service orientation
- Well organized, stress resilient, being able to respect deadline, being a team player & collaborative approach
