A research position for one Research Initiation Grant (“Bolsa de Iniciação à Investigação“) is open at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project O-0001-LX-23 - Own Funds, funded by the applicable financial framework (IT - Instituto de Telecomunicações).
- The LEADCOR Leadership Boardgame is an innovative board game, based on “Snakes and Ladders”, developed by IPS. The boardgame’s main goal is to develop leadership competencies (namely Emotional Intelligence, Time Management, Team Management, Communication, Conflict Management, Motivation and Emotion management), through hypothetical situations/questions in the prison context so that players can reflect on their strengths and weaknesses. Having this individual work perception, players will be able to create a Leadership Development/Action Plan. The goal of this project is to develop a digital version of the leadcorgame for mobile devices (90% of the current active Smartphones and tablets), where all the players will play together in the same device.**Scientific Area**:

**Admission Requirements**:
Research Initiation Grants are intended:

- for students enrolled in a professional higher technical course, undergraduate degree, integrated master's degree or master's degree, to undertake initial R&D activities, with a view to beginning their scientific training through integration in R&D projects to be developed in national institutions.
- for students with an undergraduate degree carrying out initial R&D activities who are enrolled in non-degree courses integrated into the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units.

In what concerns the admission requirements for this research initiation grant in particular:

- Be enrolled in a Informatics Bachelor.

**Work Objectives**:
The goal of this project is to develop a digital version of the leadcorgame for mobile devices (90% of the current active Smartphones and tablets), where all the players will play together in the same device.

The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações - Covilhã, under the supervision of Professor Bruno Silva.

**Duration**:
6 months, with the possibility of renewal (according to the regulations defined by FCT). Start date: March 16th, 2023 or soon thereafter.

**Monthly salary**:
