**The Position**

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is a full-time position based at Bial Headquarters in Porto that takes ownership of coordinating various planning and business intelligence processes.

In this role, the incumbent will have extensive experience in coordinating, planning processes and developing interactive business and decision-oriented dashboards, managing “Extract, transform, and load” (ETL) processes and leveraging advanced analytics to provide actionable insights.

As Senior Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Global and Country Business Operations stakeholders, IT team and external partners to ensure the successful implementation and coordination of Business Intelligence and Planning initiatives.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations using Power BI to present data from multiple sources in a clear and meaningful way.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights and deliverables.
- Manage end-to-end ETL processes, either with the IT team or external consultants, to ensure the extraction, transformation and loading of data from various sources into snowflake or other data storage solutions.
- Work closely with IT team and external data suppliers to ensure data quality standards and a data governance layer.
- Conduct forecasting exercises and build predictive models using Excel or R to support forecasting ad trend analysis activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify development opportunities, optimize processes and drive operational improvements.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in business intelligence data management and analytics tools.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team’s members, fostering their professional growth and development in the BI domain.

**Education and Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) with ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge in programming languages such as SQL or R for data visualization, statistical analysis, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Strong knowledge in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) concepts and processes.
- Strong understanding of forecasting principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
- Solid financial and business understanding.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to details and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proficiency in English language (B2 level as minimum).

**Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business or Data Analyst, with a focus on business intelligence, data analysis and visualization, data modelling, planning and reporting.
- Experience in developing dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Experience in pharma industry and work with AI (preferential).
