As a F&B Hostess & Experience Maker, you are responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Hostess will also be required to have extensive knowledge of menu offerings. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
A little taste of your day-to-day:

- Guest Service: Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service by coordinating seating arrangements, greeting, and escorting guests, and addressing any concerns or special requests.
- Reservation Management: Manage restaurant reservations ensuring accurate record-keeping, effective table allocation, and timely follow-up with guests.
- Seating Coordination: Coordinate the seating of guests optimizing table utilization while considering guest preferences, special events, and VIP requirements.
- Front-of-House Operations: Oversee the overall organization and cleanliness of the restaurant's front-of-house area including the reception desk, waiting area, and guest flow.
- Communication Liaison: Serve as a communication liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams ensuring effective coordination and smooth service flow.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and promptly address any concerns or complaints, striving to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain a positive dining experience.
- Training and Development: Train, coach, and mentor host/hostess staff providing guidance on guest service, reservation management, and effective communication.
- Special Events and VIP Handling: Coordinate special events and VIP guest requirements, ensuring personalized service and attention to detail.
- The Head Hostess at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort may be involved in planning
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
- Key Duties And Responsibilities

What We need from you:
A F&B Hostess & Experience Maker serving the InterContinental Cascais Estoril is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills (oral and Written)
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work on your own or in teams
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office software.
- A previous experience in a host/hostess or front-of-house role, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
- Experience in managing reservations and seating coordination in a busy restaurant or hotel environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale systems and reservation management software is advantageous.
- Familiarity with fine dining etiquette, restaurant service standards, and customer service best practices.
- Ability to handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address reservation conflicts, accommodate special requests, and manage unexpected situations.
- Knowledge of restaurant point-of-sale systems for order entry and billing processes.
- Ability to train and develop host/hostess staff on guest service, reservation management, and effective communication
