- Develop and implement strategies for the timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Monitor and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate action.
- Manage a team of collections specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Review and assess collection policies and procedures, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Negotiate payment plans with delinquent customers and handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve customer issues and improve collection processes.
- Prepare regular reports on collection activities, including accounts receivable aging, collection trends, and team performance.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices in collections management.
- Proven experience in collections management, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance.
