**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Responsible for managing the Global Category Logistic Services, focused on the Tire Division EMEA, within the Corporate Purchasing Cluster for Freight & Warehouse Services by providing Continental with expertise and best practices in the fields of Strategic Sourcing, Supply Market Analysis and Category Management. The main objective is to establish best commercial conditions while optimizing a supplier base through aggregation of Spend and common strategies in order to achieve an optimal Supply Chain for the various warehouse locations of Continental.
- Prepare, launch, execute and finalize tenders for the category Warehouse Services together with corporate, regional and local functions (e.g. Legal, Continental Insurance, ESH, Continental Real Estate, Central logistics and Supply Chain Management) in EMEA and functional coordination of the warehouse projects in APAC and Americas, if requested;
- Defining and implementing innovative negotiation concepts and strategies, carrying out cost and contract negotiation and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. Designing and negotiating frame contracts and agreements;
- Optimize Purchasing processes and perform rate analysis to ensure we are one step ahead of the market trends;
- Initiating cost reduction programs in collaboration with logistics functions to create and develop the best suppliers and to support an optimum supply chain set-up;
- Analyzing and monitoring of contractual agreements to prepare negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supply of service;
- Developing and aligning category strategies together with the internal stakeholders, plants and Supply Chain Departments;
- Setting up and fostering strong supplier relationships in line with the strategic supplier management initiatives.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Academic degree in Engineering, Economics, Management;
- Fluent in English;
- Market Knowledge in SCM with a profound logístical background;
- Stakeholder oriented relationship building;
- Ability to deal efficiently with challenges and think strategical;
- Project management and process skills;
- Data extraction and key message delivery skills;
- Strong negotiation and advanced analytical skills;
- Strong power-point and presentation skills;
- Dynamic, pro-active communication skills;
- Entrepreneur, precise and committed;
- Ability to work independently and take decisions;
- Understanding of Purchasing processes;
- Problem solving;
- Team player;
- Willingness to travel.
