Project Manager Piping Cost Estimator

**MECWIDE NORDICS AS **is a **Mecwide **company dedicated to the mechanical construction of Data Centers in the Scandinavian countries.

To face the exponential growth, we are looking for **Project Manager** and a **Piping Cost Estimator** for our stucture and projects in **Norway**:
**#Position#1 - Project Manager (M/F)**

**Availability**: Immediate availability

**Site**: Norway and Finland

**Role Requirements**:

- Msc or Bsc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering or another related field;
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in similar position;
- Adaptability and problem solver;
- IT skills: Microsoft Office and MS Project and ERP (Sage);
- Languages: advanced English;
- Experience in managing piping and mechanical erection of large projects in the metal industry;
- Good communications skills, planning and organization;
- Availability to be abroad on a rotation scheme;
- Immediate availability Immediate availability;
**Role Description**:

- Responsible for the project from the early stage up to the close out, making sure the works are done safely, efficiently and with quality;
- Comply and ensure the compliance of local rules and company procedures;
- Develop and follow-up the detailed project plan;
- Anticipate project delays and set up strategies and measures to catch them up;
- Assure the execution of the project scope and assign the right team members for the specific tasks;
- Lead the team, keep them motivated and make sure that all meet the client and company expectations;
- Organization and project follow-up;
- Budget management.

**#Position#2 - Piping Cost Estimator (M/F)**

**Site**: Norway

**Role Requirements**:

- Msc or Bsc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering or another related field;
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as piping cost estimator;
- Understanding of quality standards;
- High level mathematic skills;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Advanced analytical skills;
- IT skills: Microsoft Office and MS Project and ERP software, in particular computer estimation software;
- Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts;
- Languages: advanced English;
- Availability to be abroad on a rotation scheme;
- Immediate availability;
**Role Description**:

- Good in-depth knowledge of hydraulic piping prefabrication and erection;
- Engages with the engineering project team;
- Serve as the design and construction team liaison advising for the early implementation of best practises focusing on costs reductions and best lead times;
- Pre-bid meetings;
- Collect and analyze all the project data in order to assess the time, money, materials and labour required, to manufacture and install all the Data Center piping and in-line equipment;
- Travelling to job sites to gather information on materials, labor and the best piping erection practises;
- Using computer software to calculate costs estimates;
- Prepare the final bids to present to customers;
- Report to upper management.
