You will be responsible to:
Dedicated function focused on the development and implementation of the strategic plans and supporting initiatives necessary to realize the Corporate commitment to Sustainability. This function plays a key role in driving the changes needed for a sustainable future and acts to promote and monitor company performance in this area. Expected to have a high level of engagement with site and function leaders and promotes, motivates and supports an integrated company response on sustainability.
- Actively participate in the Sustainability plan and objectives, proposing the definition of actions and indicators.
- Propose and implement Sustainability policies, procedures and guidelines as requested.
- Manage the implementation of specific programs.
- Collect and perform analysis of Sustainability data, ensuring there is a strong connection to other business indicators as required.
- Actively promote collaboration with internal areas and transversal groups to identify priorities and recommend actions to address sustainability issues.
- Propose areas of improvement on measurement and actions to address pain points.
- Participate in external Sustainability Discussion Groups, benchmarking the best practices.
- Manage the relationship with the community on Sustainability matters, driving the change and building partnerships.
- Liaise with all Hovione sites to ensure the implementation of the sustainability programs approved.
- Design training materials according to established training goals, to different audiences within the organization and deliver internal training sessions in Sustainability and related matters throughout the organization.
- Execute professional activities in compliance with GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others).
- University, or equivalent, qualification in Engineering, Life Sciences or similar scientific field (mandatory)
- Typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience within a sustainability context
- Advanced knowledge of Sustainability principles with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package
- Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.
